The Sebastopol Shakespeare Festival 2010

Since 1993, Sonoma County Repertory Theater has produced an outdoor Shakespeare Festival, which consists of 2 productions per year, presented in Ives Park. This has resulted in over 150 performances that have reached thousands of patrons. With record-breaking attendance, the Sebastopol Shakespeare Festival has become a summer staple and tradition for Sonoma County residents and visitors during the months of July through September. With affordable ticket prices, picnicking opportunities, and top-notch entertainment, the Sebastopol Shakespeare Festival is a must-see during the summer season.

The Rep makes it a top priority to provide theater for all of it's community members, offering prices they can afford. The Sebastopol Shakespeare Festival offers two initiatives that allow anyone to attend the festival, no matter their income.

Sebastopol Shakespeare Initiative: offers theater tickets to children 12 and under for FREE. The festival is a family-friendly event, and as such, this initiative provides parents the opportunity to expose their children to top-quality theater affordably.

Pay What You Can: Theater is for all, and therfore should be affordable to every member of this community. The Rep now provides Pay What You Can tickets to every Thursday night performance (not including previews) so that everyone has the opportunity to experience theater, no matter their budgetary constraints.

Seating
Seating outside at Ives park is on a first come, first serve basis. The park does not open for seating until 5:30 PM. You are required to provide your own seating. If you plan to sit on blankets, you are welcome to sit closest to the stage. For those who prefer folding chairs, please ensure that you set up farther back. There will be ushers available to assist you.

Alcohol in Ives Park
The City of Sebastopol recently updated their municipal code to restrict the consumption or possession of alcohol in a public park. Please be aware of this new code and act accordingly. The Rep is able to sell wine at the event, and in that case, it is legal for our patrons to consume it in the park.
