Scott Phillips, Producing Artistic Director

Scott's directing credits for the Rep include A Christmas Carol (’06), Hamlet, Bus Stop, Romeo & Juliet, Red Herring, The Birthday Party, That Championship Season, Reckless and Bocci. He is a founding member and Resident Director for Trinity Shakespeare Company of San Francisco, for whom he has directed Richard II and Henry IV, part I. An Associate Artist with the Rep from 1995-98, he spent 1999-2001 with the Dallas Theater Center as both a professional actor and stage technician. As an actor with DTC, he performed in Twelfth Night (Fabian), Hedda Gabler (Judge Brack) and Dreamlandia (Seth), a world premiere by Octavio Solis. Additional acting credits include Drake’s Drum (Sir Thomas Doughty) a world premiere, Twelfth Night (Malvolio), American Buffalo (Donny), The Night of the Iguana (Reverend T.L. Shannon), The Mystery of Irma Vep  (Jane Twisden, etc.), Incorruptible (Brother Martin), Talley’s Folly (Matt Friedman), My Fair Lady (Henry Higgins), The Laramie Project (Ensemble), One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest (R.P.  McMurphy), True West (Lee) and The Glass Menagerie (Tom).
