Retired from her executive coaching consulting firm, Shirlee Cunningham now focuses on fine arts pursuing painting, photography and travel. Early on she had experience working in Detroit’s city government and a long history as a psychotherapist where, after ten years of clinical work, she decided to specialize in organizational psychology and development. She moved to Tiburon nearly thirty years ago.
While with Pacific Gas & Electric Company she acted variously as supervisor of Employee Assistance where she established the psychological screening program for employees of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, supervised Affirmative Action for the entire company, and was director of weatherization for Northern California. In this final capacity she contracted with the Pentagon to weatherize all Air Force facilities in
Northern California. Subsequently she became Governmental and Public Relations Manager for the Sacramento Valley Region of the Company.
After nearly ten years with PG&E, Shirlee formed her own nation-wide executive coaching firm. This firm also specialized in management development and training, organization design and compensation and recruitment. She retired in 1996 and moved to Sebastopol with her husband, Russ. She graduated from Wayne State University, the University of Michigan and the Organization School of Psychology in San Francisco.
