Pamela Moskovitz returned to the Sonoma County area eighteen years ago with her husband Harvey and their two children Nick and Lauren. Upon their return they established a medical practice in Sebastopol. As office manager of her husband’s medical practice, she applied her skills acquired through positions primarily held in the business field.
Seven years ago they closed the solo practice and Harvey now provides orthopedic surgical care at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa. The move gave her the opportunity to pursue her interests in other areas. Pamela is fortunate to be able to volunteer her time and energy to organizations that she believes are essential to our community.
Pamela currently serves on the Palm Drive Health Care Foundation Board and executive committee. In the four years she has been on the board, she has chaired and participated in several major and successful fund-raisers for Palm Drive Hospital.
In 2002 Pamela completed training and became a volunteer docent for the Laguna de Santa Rosa. Each spring and fall she goes into classrooms and subsequently takes second to six grade children out to the Laguna to teach them how important the Laguna is and the benefits it provides to both society and wildlife.
Though Pamela’s experience in live theater is limited to an appreciation of a production as a member of the audience, she genuinely believes –– especially in this day of budgetary cutbacks at so many levels in the arts –– that we need to enthusiastically encourage live theater locally.
